Culture abounds in Peterborough, including Canadian Art exhibited at the Art Gallery of Peterborough, or live theatre by the Peterborough Theatre Guild. Now in its 52nd Season, this theatre venue offers year-round live performances, from comedy to drama, musicals and family-style shows.

Musicfest provides an array of prominent live acts for 8 weeks every summer. There’s bound to be something you’ll enjoy or take them all in – admission is free.

Peterborough’s rich history is captured in its museums, such as The Canadian Canoe Museum, a national heritage centre with a collection of more than 100 canoes and kayaks on display. The museum also features a variety of workshops teaching traditional skills such as making moccasins, weaving snowshoes and carving a canoe paddle.
